RC Law has advised OpenPass Holding Corp., a Delaware company, in connection with its issuance of shares of common stock to Telecom Argentina S.A., representing 50% of the company’s capital stock, on a fully diluted basis. Telecom Argentina is one of the largest companies in Argentina and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: TEO). OpenPass Holding’s Argentine subsidiary is a fintech company, providing financial technology and other digital solutions. The strategic alliance has the principal purpose of jointly developing Telecom Argentina’s electronic wallet platform, known as Personal Pay. Argentine counsel was Tavarone, Rovelli, Salim & Miani.

Telecom acquired a stake in the company OpenPass to consolidate its fintech operation
Telecom and OpenPass closed a strategic agreement with the objective of strengthening themselves in the fintech market with a strong focus on consolidating the local business and the regionalization of financial technology solutions.
